Solis Minerals Ltd CEO Mitch Thomas talked with Proactive about the company's latest move to expand its footprint at the Cucho Copper Project in Peru. The company has applied for 4,000 hectares of new exploration concessions, a move Thomas says is aimed at strengthening its position ahead of drilling planned for 2026.
Thomas said the Cucho area is “incredibly prospective and quite hot from an exploration perspective”, noting activity from nearby operators such as Fortescue, Element 29, and a local Peruvian company. He emphasised that the newly applied-for ground offers “a lot of latent potential” and will support Solis Minerals' goal of executing a strong drilling program.
The expansion follows a recent capital raise, which the company intends to put toward its aggressive exploration plans across Peru.
