North Bay Resources Inc. (OTC:NBRI) announced assay results from the Fran gold project in British Columbia, reporting gold grades ranging from 0.4 to greater than 2.9 ounces per ton.
The company said four samples of approximately five pounds each were collected from alternating supersacks in a 20-ton test shipment and analyzed by ALS Global in North Vancouver, BC, using the Au-AA25 fire assay method.
Sample 25FRTB-1 returned 0.41 ounces per ton (14 grams per ton), 25FRTB-4 returned 2.64 ounces per ton (90.5 grams per ton), 25FRTB-5 returned greater than 2.92 ounces per ton (over 100 grams per ton), and 25FRTB-6 returned 2.30 ounces per ton (78.7 grams per ton).
According to the company, sample 25FRTB-5 exceeded the assay limit and is undergoing additional overlimit analysis. Multi-element analyses, including copper and silver, are also underway.
The samples were taken from a development area near a massive sulphide surface outcrop discovered in June 2025, which previously returned gold assays of 0.5 ounces per ton, North Bay Resources said.
The zone lies between two previously identified high-grade gold areas, Trench B and Trench C, where grades have reached up to 2.3 ounces per ton.
North Bay Resources added that approximately 20 tons of ore have been extracted, packed into supersacks, and shipped to the company’s Bishop Gold Mill in California.
The Fran Property is underlain by Takla Group sedimentary and volcaniclastic rocks intruded by dykes and small stocks of monzonite, monzodiorite, and diorite. Previous work, including about 18,000 meters of diamond drilling, has outlined gold-bearing structures featuring broad zones of mineralization.
