Shares in Landore Resources Ltd (AIM:LND) dropped 8% to 4.2p on Monday after the company announced a £1.47 million equity raise at a discount to the market price.
The funding, while prompting an immediate sell-off, is expected to strengthen the balance sheet and accelerate development at its flagship BAM Gold Project in Ontario, a move investors may ultimately view as short-term pain for long-term gain.
The oversubscribed raise saw 35.5 million new shares issued at 4.125p each, with subscribers, including existing shareholders and former director William Humphries, also receiving warrants exercisable at 6p for three years.
Proceeds will go toward advancing BAM’s updated Mineral Resource Estimate, due this quarter, and to support environmental studies and working capital ahead of a major 2026 drilling campaign.
The company said the strong backing from new and existing investors underscores market confidence in the Junior Lake portfolio’s long-term potential.
