Valereum’s digital markets platform to host COINGT token

Valereum PLC (AQSE:VLRM) said a token linked to the Interoceanic Corridor of Guatemala will list on its regulated digital asset marketplace, marking one of the first major infrastructure projects to be tokenised on the platform.

The London-listed company said the COINGT token, which represents ownership rights connected to the 372 km rail corridor project, will be issued on VLRM Markets once its development phase is complete.

The corridor aims to link Guatemala’s Atlantic and Pacific coasts, creating a new trade and logistics route to rival the Panama Canal and support the development of ports, railways, roads and energy networks.

Developed by Grupo Odepal de El Salvador, COINGT plans to raise up to $325 million through an initial public issuance, with the first tranche targeted at $38.52 million.

The project involves the legal regularisation of more than 3,400 land plots across Guatemala to establish the route, which will host a series of free trade and logistics zones.

By listing on VLRM Markets, COINGT will gain access to a regulated tokenisation infrastructure and Valereum’s global investor network, offering compliant exposure to real-world assets.

Gary Cottle, Valereum’s chief executive, said: “The COINGT listing on VLRM Markets shows the calibre of issuers choosing to tokenise with us. COINGT is a transformative infrastructure project for Latin America, and we’re delighted to be supporting its onboarding.”
