Aurum Resources strikes major gold hits at Boundiali

Aurum Resources Ltd (ASX:AUE) has delivered a string of standout assays from infill drilling at the 2.41Moz Boundiali Gold Project in Côte d’Ivoire, led by a hit of 0.80 metres at 350 g/t gold from 277 metres at the BMT3 deposit. The “major hits” continued at depth and along strike, including 1 metre at 274.89 g/t gold from 380 metres (BMT3), reinforcing the continuity of high-grade shoots within the system.

At BMT3, broader zones are building around the ultra-high-grade pierce points:

  • 11 metres at 3.20 g/t from 336 metres including 9 metres at 3.85 g/t (MBDD275);
  • 15 metres at 1.92 g/t from 175 metres including 7 metres at 3.42 g/t (MBDD265); and
  • 13.33 metres at 1.78 g/t from 128.57 metres with a 2-metre interval at 9.67 g/t (MBDD277).

These results collectively point to persistent, continuous mineralisation with narrow bonanza-grade veins nested within wider, mineable widths.

Drilling at the BST1 deposit is also returning consistent grades and thicknesses, highlighted by 3 metres at 10.61 g/t from 118 metres including 1 metre at 30.68 g/t (BSDD0016A).

Additional intercepts — 23 metres at 1.34 g/t from 218 metres including 5.80 metres at 2.34 g/t (BSDD0032); 21.33 metres at 1.14 g/t from 351 metres including 5 metres at 2.38 g/t (BSDD0034); 4 metres at 4.59 g/t from 89 metres including 2 metres at 8.47 g/t (BSDD0033); and 11 metres at 1.55 g/t from 331 metres including 4 metres at 3.70 g/t (BSDD0034) — extend mineralisation both down-dip and along strike.

Mineralisation at BMT3 and BST1 remains open in all key directions, supporting further resource growth.

To accelerate momentum, Aurum has added two new drill rigs, lifting its company-owned fleet to 12, and is targeting more than 130,000 metres of drilling across Boundiali and Napié in CY2025. Two major Mineral Resource Estimate updates — one for each project — are slated for early Q1 CY2026, with the Boundiali Pre-Feasibility Study now underway and likewise due in Q1 CY2026. The company reports a strong cash position of approximately $40 million (including Montage shares, unaudited) to fund the expanded program and development pathway.

“We have hit more bonanza grade mineralisation with 0.8m @ 350g/t gold from 277m in MBDD277 at Boundiali’s BMT3 deposit. This new intercept is located around 100m NE along strike of our previous intersection of 1.43m at 234.35 g/t gold from 107m and confirms the system at BMT3 hosts multiple high-grade shoots,” Aurum’s managing director Dr. Caigen Wang said.

“As we have stated, this success is not isolated to our Boundiali gold project. At our Napié Project, recent drilling has also returned a fantastic result of 17m @ 9.38 g/t gold from 236m, significantly extending mineralisation at depth. This demonstrates our ability to deliver potential high-grade ounces across multiple assets.

“Our unique advantage is our owned and operated fleet of 12 diamond drill rigs, which allows us to aggressively and cost-effectively test these systems,” Wang said.

“With a strong cash balance of over $40 million at the end of September, a clear development pathway with the Boundiali PFS underway, and major resource updates at both gold projects pending, we are in an excellent position to deliver substantial shareholder value through 2025 and into 2026.”

What’s next?

Over the next 12–18 months, Aurum will prioritise large-scale, cost-effective drilling at Boundiali and Napié and the Boundiali open-pit PFS, targeting resource growth and key study milestones by Q1 CY2026.

Boundiali — cost-effective, large-scale exploration (CY2025)

Aurum’s Boundiali Gold Project.

100,000 metre diamond program: Up to 10 rigs to complete ~100,000 m at Boundiali in calendar 2025 to:

  • increase the size and confidence of existing resources,
  • advance priority prospects for inclusion in the next MRE, and
  • test new targets from soil anomalies and mapping to sustain resource growth into 2026.

1. Resource growth focus: Drilling to expand the BD, BM and BST deposits.

2. New discoveries: Exploration and scout drilling across BD, BM and BST tenements to build a pipeline of targets.

3. MRE update: Major Boundiali resource update planned for early Q1 CY2026.

Boundiali Pre-Feasibility Study

  • Open-pit PFS in progress, with results targeted for Q1 CY2026 to assess project economics and technical feasibility.

Napié — ongoing drilling (CY2025)

  • ~30,000 m diamond program aimed at growing the existing 0.87 Moz resource, with an updated MRE expected in early Q1 CY2026.

Funding and execution

  • With a solid balance sheet, Aurum is positioned to execute the above exploration and development programs and remain focused on shareholder value through resource growth and project advancement.

The combination of headline grades, consistent medium-to-wide intercepts at both deposits, and open mineralisation highlights Aurum’s strategy to add ounces rapidly ahead of resource updates and the Boundiali PFS timeline.
