Risers & fallers: Mobile Streams, Aga Rangemaster, Arc Capital, Auhua Energy, Powerfilm, APR

Mobile Streams leads the risers but investors desert Auhua.

Below are some of the main news-driven share price changes at 4pm.

Risers

Mobile Streams (LON:MOS) up 51%. No reason for the sharp rise, said the smartphone apps specialist but that didn’t stop the buyers. Based in Argentina, the company has pushed into new territories such as India and Brazil.

Aga Rangemaster (LON:AGA) up 30%. Posh cooker maker confirmed it was in takeover talks with Nasdaq quoted firm The Middleby Corporation.

ARC Capital (LON:ARCH), up 29%., Arbitration panel in China awards subsidiary US$77.3mln for acquisition of Orient Home Industrial in 2010. Company has kept book value unchanged at US$41mln.

Fallers

Powerfilm (LON:PFLM), down 41%, AIM delisting approved.

Auhua Clean Energy, (LON:ACE),down 13%, Confirmed it is looking to raise £1.5 mln to fund overseas expansion in Taiwan and Dubai and to increase production capacity in China.

APR Energy (LON:APR), down 13%. Yesterday’s warning that full-year 2015 results will be significantly below market expectations.

At 12.45pm

Risers

Cap-XX (LON:CPX) up 21%. The creator of the world’s thinnest super-capacitor, said initial feedback from clients has been positive.

Goldplat (LON:GDP) up 12%. The gold recovery specialist said it is making progress in clearing the backlog of by-product material waiting to be processed, thus improving cash flow.

Berkeley (LON:BKG) up 8%. The company posted a pre-tax profit of £539.7m for the year to the end of April, up 42% on the previous year.

Fallers

Ten Alps (LON:TAL) down 47%. The TV producer has bought Reef Television for £5mln after a £4.5mln share placement. Sir Bob Geldof has also left the board after 16 years.

Powerfilm (LON:PFLM) down 41%. Shares continue to plummet after the company's shareholders approved its de-listing from AIM.

Betfair (LON:BET) down 3.3%. The gambling group said the market remains competitive and warned that more investment was crucial to keep up with rivals.

RISERS

Anite (LON:AIE), up 23.1%. Dutch outfit Keysight Technologies has unveiled an agreed bid of 126p per share, sending the share price up 23.75p to 126.75p. The terms value the UK network testing specialist at around £388mln.

Promethean World (LON:PRW), up 22.9%. The company released a statement after trading finished yesterday saying Hong Kong company NetDragon WebSoft has proposed a takeover on the basis of 40p a share. The UK-listed electronic whiteboard maker – one of the most disastrous flotations in recent memory – saw its shares rise 6.7p to 33.95p, barely one-sixth of the price at which it floated in 2010.

Tertiary Minerals (LON:TYM), up 22.7%. The fluorspar specialist has announced a substantial increase in the mineral resource estimate for its MB project in Nevada.

FALLERS

Sefton Resources (LON:SER), down 39.3%. The company, which recently binned its equity finance facility with Darwin Strategic, has raised £800k through a placing of shares at 0.065p, which had the effect of sending the shares down 0.055p to 0.085p. The funds will be used to acquire interest in new oil production, development and/or exploration assets.

Leed Resources (LON:LDP), down 16.7%. The natural resources investment company said the first batch of five moulds and twenty bases for making wall panels has been delivered to the High Mannor quarry north of Perth, after a delay caused by a change in the design of the moulds.

Baron Oil (LON:BOIL), down 15.0%. The company posted a loss before tax of £3.5mln for 2014, versus a loss the year before of £3.0mln.
