The company reported adjusted earnings per share for the period of $0.11, handily beating the analyst consensus estimate of a loss of $0.03, according to LSEG.
The Trump administration is in discussions with several quantum computing companies about taking equity stakes in exchange for federal funding, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
Companies involved in the talks include IonQ (NYSE:IONQ), Rigetti Computing (NASDAQ:RGTI), and D-Wave Quantum (NYSE:QBTS), while others such as Quantum Computing Inc. (OTCQB:QUBT) and Atom Computing are considering similar arrangements, according to the Journal, citing anonymous sources familiar with the matter.
Super Micro Computer Inc (NASDAQ:SMCI) shares fell more than 7% in early Thursday trading as the AI server maker reported preliminary first quarter revenue that fell short of its previous guidance.
The company said the shortfall was due to design win upgrades that shifted some expected revenue from the first quarter to the second quarter of fiscal year 2026.
American Airlines Group Inc (NASDAQ:AAL, ETR:A1G) shares added 4.5% in early trade after the airline issued better-than-expected guidance for the fourth quarter.
Along with reporting its Q3 results, American Airlines said it expects fourth quarter earnings per share (EPS) between $0.45 and $0.75, far higher than the Wall Street consensus of $0.31.
