MedPal AI plc (AIM:MPAL) shares climbed on Wednesday morning on news that it had opened a new artificial intelligence-powered national distribution centre in Swaffham, Norfolk.
The UK-based digital health company, which uses AI and data from wearable devices to deliver personalised wellness management and telehealth services, said the new 24/7 automated hub triples the company’s previous footprint and integrates advanced robotics with AI to handle more than 100,000 prescriptions a month.
It follows the acquisition of assets from Universal Pharmacy Ltd earlier this month.
MedPal highlighted that its new facility includes robotic dispensing systems from Omnicell and BD Rowa and is connected to MedPal’s app, enabling users to complete AI-assisted consultations approved by prescribers before medication is dispatched.

"By combining our MedPal AI triage with robotic innovation, we are creating a 24/7 ecosystem that makes primary care accessible and affordable, while always prioritising patient safety through human expertise and oversight.”
