Genflow Biosciences PLC (LSE:GENF, OTCQB:GENFF) told investors its second European patent application has been published in the European Patent Bulletin.
It follows an entry into the European phase under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) and represents a key milestone in expanding the intellectual property (IP) portfolio.
Last month, Genflow filed a patent examination request in China for its SIRT6 gene variants targeting Non-Alcoholic Steatohepatitis (NASH).
These patent protections come as Genflow progresses clinical trials for SIRT6-based therapies.
"The publication of our second European patent marks another important validation of our science and IP strategy," chief executive Dr Eric Leire said.
"With both of our key SIRT6 applications now public and provisionally enforceable in Europe, we have solidified the foundation for long-term value creation, enhanced partnership potential, and future grant protection across our portfolio."
