Market movers: Warner Bros Discovery, RTX, GM, Philip Morris…

RTX Corp (NYSE:RTX, ETR:5UR) shares gained nearly 9% in late-morning trading on Tuesday as the aerospace and defense company boosted its full-year revenue and earnings forecast, citing increasing demand for its missiles and aftermarket services.

RTX also reported third quarter 2025 financial results that surpassed Wall Street expectations.

Warner Bros Discovery Inc (NASDAQ:WBD, ETR:J5A) said on Tuesday it is expanding its strategic review of the business and is open to a potential sale following unsolicited interest from multiple parties, sending its shares up more than 10%.

The company’s board has begun evaluating options intended to maximize shareholder value, including continuing with its planned split, selling the entire company, or pursuing separate transactions for its Warner Bros and Discovery Global segments.

Philip Morris International Inc (NYSE:PM, ETR:4I1) shares fell almost 10% in early trade on Tuesday after the cigarette-maker issued cautious guidance for the remainder of the year, despite reporting better-than-expected third quarter earnings.

Philip Morris said it now expects adjusted EPS between $7.46 and $7.56 for the full year, above its earlier guidance.

3M Co (NYSE:MMM) raised its full-year profit and margin forecast after posting stronger-than-expected third-quarter results, driven by improved demand across its industrial, consumer and healthcare segments.

The diversified manufacturer reported adjusted earnings per share of $2.19, topping analysts’ estimates of $2.07 and rising 10% from a year earlier.

General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) shares powered 14% higher in early trading on Tuesday after the automaker saw its third quarter 2025 revenue and earnings top Wall Street forecasts, while the company also raised its guidance for the year.

GM posted adjusted earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter of $2.80 on revenue of $48.59 billion.
