Serica Energy shares boosted as Triton volumes confirmed

Serica Energy PLC (AIM:SQZ) shares climbed close to 5% in Tuesday morning's deals, after updating on the recently stalled operations at the Triton FPSO.

Today, Serica told investors that production had resumed from the Triton floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel following a temporary shutdown earlier this month due to a flare system issue.

Output (net to Serica) has now ramped up to more than 25,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day (boepd), the company revealed.

It added that operations are now stable across the Triton hub, which handles production from several North Sea fields.

In London, Serica shares were up 4.89% changing hands at 186.7p.
