Kali Metals Ltd (ASX:KM1) has outlined parallel progress across its Western Australian projects, expanding field work at the Higginsville Lithium Project while advancing approvals for maiden drilling at the Marble Bar Gold Project.
At Marble Bar, the company’s Program of Works has been referred to the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) for comment. DBCA’s recommendations have now been received, and Kali is working through those requirements to enable the start of drilling.
At Higginsville, Kali has broadened its planned soil sampling program following the identification of additional areas considered prospective for LCT pegmatites. The campaign has been lifted from about 7,400 to roughly 10,400 samples, maintaining 200-by-100-metre spacing and targeting portions of the project area that have not yet been tested for lithium. The program duration remains about three months, with Ozex Exploration engaged to work alongside Gyro Drilling Australia to deliver the increased scope.
To support target definition and follow-up work, Kali engaged Resource Potentials Pty Ltd (ResPot) to integrate and assess recent and historical geophysical and geochemical datasets, alongside its internal 3D modelling of historical pegmatite drilling intercepts. This integrated interpretation underpins the expanded soils program and will inform subsequent field activities.
Kali intends to provide a more detailed update once the full dataset from the soil sampling program has been received and interpreted.
Marble potential
Kali’s Marble Bar Gold Project in the eastern Pilbara sits about 10 kilometres east of the town of Marble Bar (20 kilometres by road) and more than 10 kilometres north of the Klondyke Gold Project. Mapping and surface work have outlined a cumulative three kilometres of gold mineralisation across the Tiger, Sherman and Churchill prospects, which the company has designated as high-priority drill targets.

Heritage surveys over these areas were completed earlier in the year. A Program of Works (PoW) was submitted to DEMIRS in August 2025 and subsequently referred to the DBCA for comment. Recommendations from both DBCA and DEMIRS have now been received, and Kali is working to meet those requirements to be able to start its drilling program.
Higginsville Lithium Project — Soil sampling update
The Higginsville Lithium Project sits within a district rich in LCT pegmatites, near the Mt Marion and Bald Hill lithium mines and advanced prospects at Manna, Buldania and Dome North.
Previous work across the Higginsville tenure has confirmed widespread pegmatite intrusion and multiple LCT pegmatites, identifying several zones that warrant follow-up drilling. These include areas around Spargoville and the Mt Henry–Norseman corridor.

Following the recognition of additional prospective ground, Kali has expanded its soil sampling program. The campaign is still expected to run for about three months. To accelerate coverage, Kali has engaged a second contractor, Ozex Exploration, alongside Gyro Drilling Australia.
The company also commissioned ResPot to integrate and interpret geophysical datasets, process drilling and surface geochemical results, compile GIS layers, and complete a high-level structural/linework interpretation to refine LCT pegmatite targets at Higginsville. This work has generated a suite of ranked targets across the broader project area, based on ResPot’s internal criteria.
From this targeting exercise, the Spargoville, Widgiemooltha, Higginsville Central (SW), Chalice and Mt Henry areas are considered the most prospective for mineralised LCT pegmatites. Prospectivity is driven by the presence of outcropping to sub-cropping Archean ultramafic and metasedimentary rocks in close proximity to known LCT pegmatites and their source granites.
