Nexus Minerals Ltd (ASX:NXM) has received initial 4-metre composite gold assays from the Clement and Godfrey prospects following a recently completed reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Wallbrook Gold Project, about 140 kilometres northeast of Kalgoorlie, WA. The 6,155-metre, 59-hole program covered the Clement, Godfrey and Target MC4.1 prospects; results from MC4.1 are pending.
The work has confirmed significant gold mineralisation within targets previously outlined by aircore (AC) drilling. One-metre mineralised samples are now being collected and sent to the laboratory for analysis.
Separately, a 10,000-metre AC drilling program has begun at Target MC3.3 and at extension targets within the Branches prospect. Nexus expects to complete this program by mid-November, with results to follow.
“The recent RC drilling has yielded some outstanding results so far, with both Clement and Godfrey results received. Clement prospect illustrates the growing opportunity at Wallbrook, with broad high-grade gold mineralisation discovered just 250 metres east of the company’s Crusader-Templar deposit," Nexus managing director Andy Tudor said.
"These results demonstrate the opportunity for further meaningful gold discovery on the project and also indicate the mineralising system, giving rise to the Crusader-Templar deposit, is larger than previously recognised,” Tudor added.
RC program overview
Nexus completed 59 RC holes for 6,155 metres across Clement, Godfrey and Target MC4.1. The initial 4-metre composite results confirm gold mineralisation within targets previously identified in AC drilling. Assay results for MC4.1 are still outstanding.
Clement Prospect – stacked lodes from surface
Composite results at Clement indicate mineralisation from surface with multiple stacked lodes.
Highlights include (4m composites unless noted):
- 20m @ 4.06 g/t Au (within 36m @ 2.65 g/t Au) from 116m
- 20m @ 2.39 g/t Au, including 4m @ 4.47 g/t Au (within 52m @ 1.06 g/t Au) from 36m
- 8m @ 2.33 g/t Au (within 12m @ 1.81 g/t Au) from 112m
- 4m @ 3.29 g/t Au (within 8m @ 1.70 g/t Au) from surface
NMWBRC25-818 – 20M @ 4.06G/T AU from116M.
These results build on previous AC drilling success:
- 8m @ 2.94 g/t Au (within 28m @1.13g/t Au) from 44 metres
- 8m @ 2.93 g/t Au (within 28m @1.05g/t Au) from 28 metres
- 8m @ 2.33 g/t Au (within 14m @1.37g/t Au to EOH) from 32 metres
Clement prospect selected drill results (yellow labels new 4m composite RC intercepts, white labels previous AC results).
These intercepts suggest continuous zones with higher-grade shoots; final 1m assays will better define grade distribution and true widths.
Godfrey Prospect – ~1.2 km lode confirmed
Drilling at Godfrey confirms a main northwest-striking lode over approximately 1.2 kilometres of strike, with mineralisation extending to surface. Highlights include:
- 4m @ 1.96 g/t Au (within 8m @ 1.07 g/t Au) from 84m
- 4m @ 1.31 g/t Au (within 28m @ 0.51 g/t Au) from 20m
- 8m @ 1.12 g/t Au (within 16m @ 0.70 g/t Au)
Godfrey prospect selected drill results (yellow labels new 4m composite RC intercepts, white labels previous AC results).
Results build upon previous AC drilling success with results (ASX: NXM 11/11/2024) including:
- 4m @ 4.02 g/t Au (within 15m @1.30g/t Au) from 24 metres
- 4m @ 2.17 g/t Au (within 8m @1.33g/t Au) from 24 metres
- 4m @ 3.81 g/t Au from 12 metres
NMWBRC 25-796 - 4m @ 1.96g/t au (within 8m @ 1.07g/t au) from 84m
As with Clement, 1m samples for mineralised intervals have been submitted, which will refine grade and continuity assessments.
Aircore drilling underway
A 10,000m AC program has begun at Target MC3.3 and at extension targets at the Branches prospect. Nexus expects drilling to conclude by mid-November, with results to follow. The AC program is designed to expand the geochemical footprint, generate fresh RC targets and extend known mineralised trends.
“Building upon the success of the recent RC program, regional exploration continues to advance with an aircore drilling program underway,” Tudor said. “With the gold price at recent highs there is no better time to be active in the eastern goldfields of Western Australia. We look forward to bringing updates as exploration continues to progress.”
Nexus is well funded with cash and equivalents A$9.6 million at September 30, 2025.
