Weight management company WW International, also known as WeightWatchers (NASDAQ:WW), has partnered with Amazon Pharmacy to streamline access to weight management medications for WeightWatchers Clinic members.
Under the partnership, members can view real-time medication availability, compare delivery options, and receive prescriptions through Amazon Pharmacy.
WeightWatchers said the partnership is intended to simplify the process of obtaining medications, allowing members to focus on their health goals while benefiting from faster and more convenient prescription delivery.
The service also applies manufacturer-sponsored savings automatically at checkout, without the need for enrollment or coupon codes.
Delivery options include free two-day shipping for Amazon Prime members and same-day delivery in eligible locations.
"At WeightWatchers, we're committed to making it simpler and faster to access the weight management medications they need, and our collaboration with Amazon Pharmacy does exactly that," WeightWatchers chief operating officer Jon Volkmann said.
"By delivering speed, reliability, and convenience we’re helping members stay focused on their health goals, not on pharmacy logistics."
Shares of WW International added almost 9% on the news, trading at about $29 late morning on Monday.
