Aura Energy Ltd (ASX:AEE, AIM:AURA) shares dropped around 14% on Monday with the news that chief exeutive Andrew Grove had resigned witth immediate effect.
The company, meanwhile, noted that Grove will 'continue to provide Aura support', consistent with the terms of his contract.
Grove joined Aura in January 2024 as a strategic consultant and was appointed CEO later that month. He oversaw progress at the Tiris Uranium project in Mauritania and contributed to advancing the Häggån polymetallic project in Sweden.
"The board and management of Aura are grateful to Andrew for his significant contributions, integrity, and dedication throughout his tenure, and take this opportunity to extend their thanks for all his work and to wish him every success with his future endeavours," Aura said in its statement.
The company noted that Philip Mitchell, Aura chair, assume accountability for day-to-day operational management thereby ensuring continuity, specifically regarding critical current workflows including funding discussions with the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation and potential strategic partners.
In London, Aura shares fell 14% changing hands at 9p.
