Prospex Energy PLC (AIM:PXEN) shares moved up in Monday morning's trade, after it announced the restart gas production from the Viura-1B well at the Viura gas field in northern Spain.
The well returned to service on 17 October 2025 and is being ramped up to reach 180,000 cubic metres per day, Prospex said.
The restart follows equipment repairs and the removal of a severed wireline cable. The well had been shut since April 2025 due to a tubing leak.
"The resumption of production from the Viura field is very welcome news," said CEO Mark Routh, who also noted that reinstated cash flow from Viura is significant for the company.
Prospex shares were up 13% in early deal, changing hands at 4.65p.
