Strip Tinning Holdings PLC (AIM:STG) shares moved higher in Monday's opening trade, after it landed a purchase order for battery system connectors for a 'robotaxi' project.
The company, which makes connection systems in vehicles, said the order was for the 'D phase' of the Zoox Robotaxi project. It added that deliveries are scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025 and the first quarter of 2026, with serial production expected in April 2026.
This marks the final pre-production phase in the company’s largest of three major 2024 agreements, the firm noted.
It also confirmed that trading remains in line with expectations despite challenges such as US tariffs and supply issues.
"2025 has been a year of execution on the three major project nominations won during 2024," said CEO Mark Perrins.
"The D phase CCS order is another key milestone in a major project that is transformational for the business. Robotaxi's are a growth area and we are very proud to be a part of that journey."
Perrins added: "We remain laser focused on delivering the booked business that significantly grows the business."
In London, Strip Tinning shares started sharply higher, at 27.5p, and after an hour of trading was priced at around 23.55p (up 2.4%).
