Galliford Try lands contract on £3bn affordable homes project

Galliford Try Holdings PLC (LSE:GFRD) has been appointed by The Hyde Group to a £3 billion affordable homes framework covering the East, South, and London regions.

The construction group has secured positions on all seven lots of the new Main Contractor framework, which will run for five years and target delivery of around 1,500 homes annually.

Chief executive Bill Hocking said the contract aligns with the company’s long-term vision.

“Delivering low to mid-rise apartment blocks for the affordable homes market is a key part of our Sustainable Growth Strategy to 2030, and we are delighted to have achieved a place on this major framework,” he said.

The Hyde Group is one of the UK’s largest registered providers, managing over 120,000 homes. Galliford Try said the appointment strengthens its presence in the social housing sector and supports its commitment to high-quality, sustainable residential development.
