The S&P/ASX 200 slipped 0.81% on Friday, losing 73.10 points to finish at 8,995.30, retreating after notching a new 52-week high earlier in the session. QBE Insurance Group and DroneShield led declines on the benchmark, down 8.69% and 8.02% respectively. Despite today’s pullback, the index is up 0.41% over the past five sessions and sits 1.26% below its 52-week peak.
The S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries (XSO) fell 1.37% to 3,821.20, a 52.90-point drop on the day, but remains 0.10% higher over the week (+4.00 points).
