Beta Technologies Inc, an electric aircraft startup, is hoping to raise as much as $825 million in an initial public offering (IPO) priced between $27 and $33 per share, according to a US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing.
Should the company price the IPO at the top end of its range, the startup would have a market valuation of about $7.2 billion.
Beta Technologies saw its revenue more than doubled to $15.6 million in the first six months of 2025, while its net loss widened to $183 million from a $137 million deficit during the same period last year.
Last month, Beta Technologies announced an agreement with GE Aerospace to build a hybrid-electric turbogenerator for next-gen aircraft.
As part of the deal, GE Aerospace will invest $300 million into Beta Technologies.
The sector, which includes more established companies such as Joby Aviation, has received support from US President Trump’s plans for an eVTOL, or electric vertical takeoff and landing, pilot program.
