Coinsilium adds firepower as it reshapes board and strategy

Coinsilium Group Limited (AQSE:COIN, OTCQB:CINGF) has restructured its board and signalled a strategic shift as it prepares for a busier phase of activity in the digital-asset sector, backed by a stronger balance sheet and a growing Bitcoin treasury.

The London-listed firm, which invests in blockchain and digital-asset ventures, raised around £17 million between May and August.

That capital has helped it build a war chest of 182 Bitcoin, worth about $20 million at current prices, through its Gibraltar-based subsidiary Forza! The reserves are now a core part of the company’s strategic playbook.

Chief executive Eddy Travia said the new capital and treasury position give Coinsilium the flexibility to “advance the opportunities it has identified” in digital infrastructure, payments, and blockchain financial services.

He added that the sector was now reaching a turning point, with real-world use cases gaining traction after years of development.

As part of the board shake-up, Ben Proffitt, who has served as chief financial officer since 2022, has joined the board as an executive director.

A former CFO at Challenger Energy, Proffitt brings experience in financial reporting and corporate finance across multiple jurisdictions.

Meanwhile, co-founder Malcolm Palle has moved from executive to non-executive chairman.

Travia said the transition reflects a maturing business now entering its next phase. Palle, who remains a significant shareholder, will continue to support the strategy from his new position.

Coinsilium also announced that Federica Velardo has stepped down as a non-executive director but will continue as general legal counsel and company secretary.

A strategic update is expected in the coming weeks.
