International Graphite Ltd (ASX:IG6) managing director Andrew Worland talked with Proactive about recent progress on the company’s European and Australian graphite operations.
Worland confirmed that IG6 has secured access to a proven processing technology and commercial licence for its proposed expandable graphite facility in Europe. “That means we’ve got access to proven process technology for an expandable plot, for the feasibility study. And that allows us to do all the design work that we’re required to do,” he said.
The technology package is described as a “building block” in the project’s development, supporting site selection and integration with chemical infrastructure in Bitterfeld, Germany.
Meanwhile, design and engineering work continues on the company’s Collie graphite facility in Western Australia.
