Firefly Metals managing director Steve Parsons talked with Proactive about the company’s latest drill results from the Green Bay copper-gold project in Canada.
Parsons outlined a major milestone with what he described as the “best drill hole we’ve ever drilled to date”, a wildcat step-out approximately 650 metres from the existing resource. The intersection includes 49 metres at 6.5% copper, with a standout 14-metre zone grading almost 14% copper. “Remembering this is copper and gold, which is great,” he added.
The results suggest that mineralisation at Green Bay is strengthening at depth. These latest assays follow last week’s infill results and come ahead of an expected resource upgrade later this year.
