Askari Metals executive director Gino D’Anna talked with Proactive about the company’s strategic focus on its African exploration assets, particularly the Nejo Gold and Copper Project in Ethiopia.
Askari Metals is advancing Nejo, a 1,200 square kilometre district-scale landholding adjacent to the 1.7 million ounce Tulu Kapi gold mine. The company is set to begin a field reconnaissance program on October 20, 2025, ahead of a maiden RC drilling campaign expected to commence in November.
D’Anna said: “We want to essentially take what we know from the previous exploration and be very aggressive as we mobilise into the field.” He highlighted that Nejo holds outcropping gold and copper mineralisation and is prospective for both structurally hosted gold and VMS-style copper systems.
Investors can expect a busy final quarter, with multiple exploration catalysts.
