Asian Battery Metals Managing Director Gan-Ochir Zunduisuren talked with Proactive about the company’s latest drill results from the Maikhan Uul Copper-Gold Project in Mongolia, confirming visible copper mineralization over significant intervals.
Zunduisuren said the recent drilling intersected more than 20 metres of massive sulphide mineralization containing visible copper and potentially gold. He highlighted that while these are visual observations, assays are pending and expected within the next three to five weeks.
“This drill hole is a twin of a historic one, and our results confirm copper mineralization in massive sulphide zones,” Zunduisuren explained. “The findings validate our decision to acquire this project and support the potential for a larger mineralized system.”
He added that the company is now reviewing historic exploration data and geophysical results to plan the next phase of drilling. The focus will be on defining the scale and grade of the mineralized system to guide future exploration activities.
Zunduisuren noted that the early geological work will play a key role in shaping upcoming drill targets and understanding the project’s full potential.
