Critical Resources completes maiden RC program at Amoco gold-antimony prospect

Critical Resources Ltd (ASX:CRR) has completed a maiden reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Amoco gold-antimony prospect in the Armidale region of New South Wales, delivering 12 holes for 821 metres and dispatching all samples to a Queensland laboratory, with assay results expected in mid-November.

The program targeted a priority geophysical and geochemical zone defined by a more than 2-kilometre soil-geochemistry anomaly, supported by surface rock samples grading up to 17.9 grams per tonne gold (g/t Au) and 0.7% antimony (Sb). Drilling tested interpreted structures consistent with mineralisation controls in the New England Fold Belt.

Amoco sits about 19 kilometres southeast of Larvotto Resources’ Hillgrove Antimony-Gold Project and roughly 14 kilometres east of the structural corridor hosting Koonenberry Gold’s Enmore Gold Project.

All activities were completed safely and effectively. On finishing the RC program, the company conducted additional field mapping and surface sampling across a secondary geochemical target to build further geological context ahead of drill program approvals by the New South Wales Resource Regulator.

The RC program was designed to systematically test the interpreted structures at this early stage of exploration, improve geological understanding of the anomaly and inform subsequent drilling.

Amoco targets firm up

Critical Resources has dispatched samples from its maiden RC drilling at the Amoco gold-antimony prospect in New South Wales (NSW), with assay results expected from mid-November 2025. Follow-up drilling at Amoco will be evaluated once results are received.

Amoco maiden RC drill program with rock samples and major/minor interpreted fault structures (black dashed lines), gold-in-soil contours green (0.5-1 ppb Au) orange (1-2 ppb Au) red (2-3.5 ppb Au) and pink (3.5-21 ppb Au).

The company is also progressing permitting for the Mayview Antimony-Gold Prospect with the NSW Resources Regulator and the landowner, aiming to conduct a low-impact soil-geochemistry survey over historic antimony workings.

Amoco sits in the New England Fold Belt, about 19 kilometres south-east of Larvotto Resources Ltd’s (ASX: LRV) Hillgrove Antimony-Gold operations and about 14 kilometres east of Koonenberry Gold Limited’s (ASX: KNB) Enmore Gold Project, along regional structural trends. Mineralisation in this belt typically occurs along multiple southwest-to-northeast (SW–NE) fault structures extending horizontally and vertically for hundreds of metres.

A soil-geochemistry survey over an approximately 3-kilometre-by-2-kilometre grid targeted a structurally interpreted SW–NE corridor to improve geological understanding. Results delineated mineralised trends over more than 2 kilometres of strike, aligned with interpreted structures and yielding several robust drill targets.

Prior field mapping in the priority area returned surface rock samples up to 17.9 g/t gold (Au), 0.53% antimony (Sb) and 80 g/t silver (Ag). The correlation between geochemical and geophysical responses supports the company’s geological model and emphasises the potential scale of the mineralised zone at Amoco.
