Dekel Agri-Vision plc (AIM:DKL) shares dropped in Friday's early trade after reporting a drop in palm oil volumes in its third quarter.
At the same time, cashew processing and sales rose significantly. Cashew production was up 386.1% and sales grew by 579.3%, supported by new equipment and improved processing efficiency.
The company processed 1,656 tonnes of raw cashew nuts, up 354% year-on-year.
Meanwhile, crude palm oil (CPO) production fell 49.2% to 2,727 tonnes due to weak fresh fruit bunch volumes, though prices rose 24.1% to €964 per tonne.
"The cashew operation continued its strong turnaround, with processing up 354% and cashew sales nearly sixfold," said executive director Lincoln Moore, who also noted palm oil output is expected to recover with the high season starting in January.
In London, Dekel shares were down 16% changing hands at 0.44p.
