Kairos Minerals eyes maiden gold resource at Roe Hills with new drill program

Kairos Minerals Ltd (ASX:KAI, OTCQB:KAIFF) is gearing up for a new drilling campaign at its Roe Hills Project in Western Australia’s Eastern Goldfields, where a recent review has identified two standout gold targets with strong potential for a maiden resource estimate in 2026.

The 3,000-metre reverse circulation (RC) drilling program will focus on the Terra and Caliburn prospects, both located near major fault zones within the company’s 257-square-kilometre tenement package east of Kalgoorlie.

Gold mineralisation over 1.5 kilometres

At the Terra prospect, gold mineralisation has been intersected across more than 1.5 kilometres of strike in sheared basalt and dolerite host rocks, just 4 kilometres south of Vault Minerals Limited (ASX:VAU)'s French Kiss deposit.

The limit of existing drilling is shown in a dashed line and highlights the under-drilled nature and the significant upside potential of the Terra prospect.

Previous drilling at Terra returned strong results, including:

  • 11 metres at 2.59 g/t gold from 78 metres (RHRC002)
  • 35 metres at 1.00 g/t gold from 116.5 metres (TD1)
  • 23 metres at 1.43 g/t gold from 104 metres (RHRC068)

The mineralisation is associated with intense quartz veining, brecciation and alteration, all key indicators typical of large orogenic gold systems in the Eastern Goldfields. Kairos believes the zone remains underexplored, with drill lines spaced 250 metres apart, and plans to infill and extend mineralisation along strike and at depth.

At the Caliburn prospect, located 4 kilometres south of Terra, mineralisation defined by RC drilling extends over 200 metres and remains open in most directions. Best intercepts include 22 metres at 1.55 g/t gold from 144 metres, including 10 metres at 2.77 g/t gold from 144 metres (ROE147).

Advancing exploration plans

The planned RC program is scheduled for early 2026, during a seasonal break in fieldwork at the company’s flagship Mt York Gold Project in the Pilbara, where drilling is currently under way.

Exploration manager Mark Falconer said the review of historical drilling had “highlighted two cracking gold targets” within a highly endowed gold region.

“Mineralisation at the Terra and Caliburn prospects displays all the key ingredients typical of hydrothermal orogenic gold deposits of WA’s Eastern Goldfields, with strong alteration signatures, structural controls and, importantly, wide zones of gold-bearing quartz vein breccias with significant exploration and upside potential,” Falconer said.

“As the exploration field activities slow for the Pilbara summer, my team will be working on heritage surveys and drill approvals over these Roe Hills targets, with a view to undertaking RC drilling for maiden resource estimation in early 2026.”

Next steps

Kairos plans to finalise heritage agreements and surveys with the Ngadju Traditional Owners in the fourth quarter of 2025 before commencing drilling. The company says additional areas of gold anomalism and structural complexity identified from geophysical data will also be prioritised for follow-up work.

With large-scale potential and proximity to several operating gold mines, Roe Hills represents another growth pillar alongside Mt York, where Kairos is targeting resource expansion beyond its 1.4-million-ounce base.
