Conroy Gold and Natural Resources PLC (AIM:CGNR, OTC:CGDNF) saw its shares rise sharply after it confirmed a previously announced private placing was oversubscribed.
It raised £1.73 million from new and existing shareholders, with the new shares priced at 10p.
"The board is pleased to have closed the fundraise on an oversubscribed basis and welcomes the participation of both new and existing investors," said chair John Sherman.
"I believe the presence of new, long-term oriented North American investors with deep sector experience on our shareholder register will raise the profile of the company."
Sherman, meanwhile, added that the exploration company is progressing ongoing discussions around material strategic asset-level investments.
In London, Conroy shares gained 1.8p or 17% to change hands at 12.3p - and at one point earlier in the session, the price reached 13p.
