Crypto ETF inflows hit record $5.95 billion globally: report

Cryptocurrency related exchange-traded funds (ETFs) saw record investments of $5.95 billion globally in the week ended October 4, according to data from Coinshares.

The investment activity pushed the price of bitcoin to an all-time high, reaching $126,223 for the first time on Monday.

Coinshares noted that the US led the way with $5 billion in crypto ETF buying, followed by Switzerland at $563 million and Germany at $312 million, both setting new records.

Bitcoin attracted new investments of $3.55 billion, while ether saw $1.48 billion in additional buying.

Deutsche Bank expects bitcoin to be included on most central banks' balance sheets, alongside gold, by 2030, Reuters reported on Tuesday.

The media outlet noted that this year’s cryptocurrency rally has been driven by more supportive policies from the Trump administration, as well as greater demand from institutional investors.
