Highland Critical Minerals Corp (CSE:HLND, FSE: U8X) announced that it will kick off an exploration program at its Sy Property in Nunavut, Canada, later this month.
The Sy Property is located in the Yathkyed Lake Greenstone Belt, a region with limited previous exploration compared to nearby greenstone belts that host gold and base metal occurrences, the company said.
The exploration program will review existing geological and geophysical data and aims to identify additional exploration targets.
The plan also includes an on-site geophysics program, designed to detect gold mineralization in Banded-Iron Formations, subject to weather conditions.
Meanwhile, Highland said that exploration activities through the company’s subsidiary, Highland Red Lake Gold are ongoing at the Red Lake Gold Camp.
Current work focuses on geological mapping, prospecting, rock sampling, and drone-based airborne magnetic and LiDAR surveys.
Highland holds an option to earn a 100% interest in 3,366 hectares of mining claims in the Red Lake Gold Camp, as announced in July 2025.
Bayside Geoscience completed geological mapping and collected 60 grab samples in August, with assay results expected in Q4 2025.
Rosor Exploration conducted a drone-based LiDAR and magnetic survey in September, with final results anticipated in Q4 2025.
At its Church Property in northwestern Ontario, the company said it has conducted Mobile Metal Ion soil sampling to detect lithium anomalies.
No significant anomalies were identified, and results are being analyzed to plan the next phase of exploration, expected in spring 2026.
During the three months ended September 30, 2025, Highland issued 1,087,500 common shares through warrant exercises, raising $163,125.
The proceeds will support ongoing exploration, the planned spinout of Highland Red Lake Gold Corp, working capital, and potential new acquisitions.
"We are extremely pleased to have the support of our shareholders who through the exercising of warrants have provided additional funds for us to continue our exploration programs given the current robust gold environment,” Highland CEO Ted Yew said in a statement.
“We are looking forward to providing the market with an update on exploration activities at both Sy and Red Lake in the coming months."
