capAI PLC (LSE:CPAI) told investors it has incorporated a new US subsidiary, capMedical Inc, to support its artificial intelligence-driven medical and longevity initiatives in the United States.
The new entity has been established in the State of Delaware and forms part of capAI’s Identify, Incubate and Invent strategy.
It will be the firm's main US operating vehicle for its medical and scientific partnerships, once it obtains a business licence in California. The company noted that this move mirrors the structure adopted for capMedia Inc, capAI’s US-based media subsidiary, and further develops the company’s transatlantic operations framework.
"Together, these entities provide the foundation for collaboration, development, and future commercialisation of AI applications in media, medicine, and longevity," the company said.
"capAI continues to assess opportunities consistent with its AI in medicine and longevity strategy. Any such initiatives will be pursued selectively and responsibly, with a focus on long-term value creation."
Also, capAI has renamed two UK subsidiaries to capMedia (UK) Ltd and capMedical (UK) Ltd, which will conduct the respective domestic UK operations for each division.
