Earnz PLC (AIM:EARN) shares were up 16% in Monday morning's trade after it announced it had won a one-year contract worth £1.2 million with regeneration specialist Equans and Bradford City Council.
The AIM-quoted energy services firm has been contracted to improve energy efficiency in 92 privately owned homes across Bradford, West Yorkshire, under the contract, as part of the council’s £7.1 million Warm Homes: Local Authority Grant. It includes insulation, ventilation upgrades and renewable energy installations.
"We are delighted to have secured such a significant contract," said Earnz chief executive Peter Smith.
"We will be helping residents make their homes cheaper to heat, healthier to live in and lower in carbon emissions. We will also be supporting the local community with employment opportunities."
In London, Earnz shares climbed 15.9% changing hands at 6.49p.
