Critical Resources Managing Director Tim Wither talked with Proactive about the company’s ongoing exploration programs across New South Wales and New Zealand.
Wither outlined the commencement of reverse circulation drilling at the Amoco Gold and Antimony Project, located in the New England Fold Belt. The program will initially test 12 holes over 1,000 metres in a greenfield setting that has never been drilled before. He explained, “These 12 holes are really to kick off and sort of get our bearings to where we’re going with it.” The drilling will help define structural controls for gold and antimony mineralisation, with results expected later this year.
At the Mayview Antimony-Gold Project, Critical Resources is progressing approvals to begin low-impact soil sampling. Historical workings in the area have shown extremely high-grade antimony in spoil material, reaching up to 52%. Wither said the company is working with regulators and landowners to secure access before moving ahead with exploration.
In parallel, the company is advancing its Cap Burn Project in New Zealand. The permitting transfer is expected in October, followed by a maiden drill program. Wither highlighted that multiple drilling campaigns are planned for the remainder of the year, offering shareholders significant exposure to discovery opportunities.
