Shares in Tekmar Group PLC (AIM:TGP) rose 10% to 6.6p after the provider of asset protection technology won a new $1.5 million contract with an existing engineering, procurement and construction customer.
The AIM company will furnish the client with scour protection solutions and specialized liftingand installation equipment by the end of the year.
The client is in the ports and harbours sector, which Tekmar said is an area that represents a significant growth opportunity outside its offshore energy business.
Chief executive Richard Turner said: "We are delighted to continue our strong relationship with this EPC customer through the award of this significant contract. It underlines the trust placed in Tekmar to deliver engineered protection systems that safeguard critical marine assets."
