Yandal Resources Managing Director Chris Oorschot talked with Proactive about the company’s successful $13.5 million capital raise and the plans to accelerate exploration across its gold projects in Western Australia.
Oorschot explained that funds will be allocated across Yandal’s portfolio, with the main focus on the recent discovery at Arrakis and the broader Caladan target area. “They’re going to get spread out across our projects, with the main focus area around our recent discovery at Arrakis, and more broadly the Caladan target area,” he said.
At Barwidgee, the company is awaiting the second batch of results from its RC drilling program, due in about a week’s time. Yandal has also secured a contractor to restart drilling at Arrakis within the next one to two weeks. Looking ahead, Oorschot noted that a substantial drilling program is planned before Christmas, as the company continues to expand its exploration footprint.
Beyond these targets, work is also being advanced at the Flushing Meadows deposit, which currently hosts a 268,000-ounce gold resource. Oorschot added that strong gold prices have created a favourable environment to deliver exploration success and share progress with investors.
