Incanthera sees brisk take-up of new skincare line

Incanthera PLC (AQSE:INC) said it was seeing “good engagement” and rising sales from its newly launched skincare range, as the company reported its full-year results.

The Manchester-based group, which specialises in dermatology and oncology products, unveiled its Skin+CELL line in August through a website selling directly to customers.

The products include face and body creams, serum and eye cream, and have been backed by a digital and traditional media campaign.

Simon Ward, chief executive, said: “As the direct-to-consumer campaign has developed, we have seen good engagement and conversion to sales, increasing in recent weeks.

"As this gathers further momentum over the next period, we anticipate sales volumes to increase accordingly, and our expectation is to sell the current stock of 100,000 units by 31 March 2026.”

The range has also shown protective effects against sun damage in laboratory testing. Ward said customers had given “immediate positive feedback” and confirmed they would incorporate the products into their daily routines.

The launch delivered Incanthera’s first revenues from skincare, though no figures were disclosed. The company raised £508,000 from institutional investors in June and highlighted what it described as tight cost controls.

Ward added that the business was “actively exploring additional routes to market” beyond online sales and was working on a new range with added sun protection.

Founded to commercialise medical research, Incanthera said it was protecting its intellectual property across global territories. Ward acknowledged the past year had been “truly challenging” but said the group looked ahead “with confidence”.

For the year to the end of March, Incanthera reported a pre-tax loss of £2 million, widening from £1.4 million the year before, as operating costs rose in preparation for the product launch.
