Anglo Asian Mining Plc (LSE:AAZ, OTC:AGXKF) has moved to resolve an administrative oversight that made about $47 million of dividends and share buybacks between 2018 and 2022 technically non-compliant with UK company law. The Azerbaijan-focused gold, copper and silver producer stressed the issue was historic, involved no financial shortfall, and does not affect future dividend policy. A general meeting on 22 October will ask investors to sign off on the fixes, alongside deeds of release protecting directors and shareholders from future claims. The company will also regularise past buybacks.
