Tesla upgraded as broker eyes major steps in AR

Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) is taking major steps in advancing an augmented reality (AR) revolution, according to stockbroker Wedbush, which has just lifted its 12-month price target to $600 from $500.

Wedbush, which has an ‘Outperform’ rating, said the upgraded target reflects growing confidence in Tesla’s push into AI, autonomy and robotics.

Analysts expect Robotaxis to launch in more than 30 US cities within a year, marking what they describe as a “game changer”.

“We believe Tesla is taking major steps in advancing its AI Revolution path with autonomous and robotics front and center heading into 2026 that will be a game changer and define Tesla's future,” Wedbush said in a note.

The report anticipates that regulatory changes under a Trump administration could accelerate the approval process for Full Self-Driving, with federal regulators expected to take more control over autonomous policy frameworks.

Wedbush believes Tesla’s AI-driven business could be worth at least $1 trillion and forecasts a $2 trillion market valuation by early 2026, potentially rising to $3 trillion by year-end.
