Ricegrowers CEO Dimitri Courtelis joins Proactive's Fouad Haidar live from the ASX Small and Mid Cap Conference. Ricergrowers better known as SunRice, is a global food company with deep Australian heritage, founded by Riverina rice growers in 1950. From its beginnings as a single rice mill, the Group has grown into a diversified business operating across 10 countries and supplying more than 50 markets worldwide.
SunRice manages a portfolio of over 1,500 products under 45 brands, generating approximately 60% of its revenue outside Australia. Its operations span rice processing, food products, animal feed, and value-added categories, supported by around 2,400 employees globally. The Group continues to prioritise branded sales, which account for about 70% of total revenue, ensuring resilience and long-term growth.
Listed on the ASX since 2019, SunRice delivers returns to both grower and investor shareholders through its unique dual-class share structure. Under its 2030 Growth Strategy, the Group is focused on product innovation, international expansion, sustainability leadership, and building a stronger Australian rice industry.
