Vaultz Capital PLC (AQSE:V3TC) has hired BitGo Trust Company to act as custodian for its Bitcoin holdings, the company said Thursday, in a move aimed at strengthening security and governance around its digital asset reserves.
Vaultz, listed on London’s Aquis Exchange, described the appointment as a key step in its treasury strategy as it builds out its digital asset operations.
California-based BitGo is one of the largest regulated providers of cryptocurrency infrastructure, offering custody, wallets, staking, and settlement services.
Founded in 2013, it now oversees more than $90 billion of assets. The firm is known for its multi-signature security technology, which requires multiple approvals for a transaction, and for insurance cover of up to $250 million against theft, loss or misuse of assets held in custody.
Eric Benz, chief executive of Vaultz Capital, said: “Security and trust are paramount in the digital asset economy.
"Appointing BitGo as custodian ensures that Vaultz's digital asset reserves are protected through leading infrastructure while enabling us to execute our treasury strategy and create long-term value for shareholders.”
The company said the move highlights its focus on enterprise-grade security and regulatory compliance as it pursues the next phase of its development.
