N4 Pharma shares gain on latest research collab

N4 Pharma PLC (AIM:N4P) shares climbed in Tuesday's early deals after it entered into a collaboration with the University of Strathclyde’s CMAC National Facility.

The partnership is expected to advance the company’s Nuvec gene delivery system towards clinical readiness, with work to include characterisation of additional dual-loaded preclinical candidates.

It brings together CMAC scientists with Professor Yvonne Perrie, Head of the Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences, alongside N4 Pharma’s experts.

“We are delighted to partner with the University of Strathclyde and CMAC's National Facility," said chief executive Nigel Theobald.

"This collaboration builds upon excellent progress in our own programmes over the past few months and represents an important step in strengthening the commercial data package for Nuvec®, giving us access to world-class expertise and facilities to accelerate its development.”

In London, N4 Pharma shares gained 7.6% changing hands at 0.78p, valuing the business at around £6.5 million, with the small-cap share now up around 80% over the past month.
