Standard Uranium confirms potential at Corvo in Saskatchewan; stock higher

Standard Uranium Ltd (TSX-V:STND, OTCQB:STTDF) has confirmed strong surface radioactivity during its 2025 exploration program at the Corvo uranium project in Saskatchewan.

The company's stock price moved up more than 4% in late-morning trading on Monday.

The explorer, in a statement, announced measurements of more than 65,535 counts per second at the historical Manhattan showing, at Corvo, with a further 112 anomalous readings across the property.

It said that handheld scintillometer prospecting also uncovered new radioactive showings in rock types favourable for uranium and rare earth element mineralisation.

A total of 30 grab samples have been submitted for geochemical analysis at the Saskatchewan Research Council laboratories, the explorer added.

"Confirming strong radioactivity at multiple historical uranium showings on the Project and discovering undocumented showings speaks to the prospectivity of the Corvo project," vice president of exploration Sean Hillacre said.

"In addition, taking new samples will allow us to confirm uranium grades and build a comprehensive understanding of controls on mineralization prior to our maiden drill program.

"We look forward to continuing to bolster our targeting strategy through further work programs planned on the Project in 2025."
