Standard Uranium Ltd (TSX-V:STND, OTCQB:STTDF) vice president of exploration Sean Hillacre talked with Proactive about the company’s newly announced earn-in agreement with Collective Metals for the Rocas Project in Saskatchewan.
Hillacre explained the letter of intent outlines a three-year, $6 million deal, allowing Collective to earn up to 75% interest in the project while Standard Uranium retains operatorship during the option period.
The Rocas Project is located just outside the margin of the Athabasca Basin, known for its high-grade uranium potential.
The site includes 7.5 km of graphitic conductor strike length and shallow uranium targets. Notably, it features surface showings of uranium grading up to 0.5%, which have never been drill tested.
“We’ve developed some really good drill targets there,” Hillacre said, highlighting recent geophysics work and the strategic expansion of the project by 931 hectares.
With $1.5 million of exploration planned each year, Hillacre noted that the company is quickly moving toward a definitive agreement, aiming to begin ground-based work and confirm surface showings ahead of a potential 2026 drill program.
