Swift Networks Group CEO and Managing Director Brian Mangano talked with Proactive about the company’s new partnership with Opal Healthcare.
The agreement will see Swift Networks provide its enterprise-grade television solution, Swift TV, across 142 residential care communities in Australia. This rollout means more than 13,000 residents could gain access to the system.
Mangano explained that Swift TV is “effectively what’s in the box… a new enterprise-grade TV product” that allows access to apps, content, live streaming, and business functions such as displaying menus or activity schedules. The device is designed to be cost-effective, replacing the need for smart TVs by plugging directly into existing screens.
He said the deal is pivotal for the company, particularly as new aged care legislation comes into effect on 1 November. According to Mangano, the partnership with Opal Healthcare is a timely opportunity: “All of this functionality all comes into it with a commercial model that really works for the aged care industry. So it’s pivotal for us. It just takes us up to that next level.”
Swift currently generates about $14.00 million a year in recurring revenue from its previous products. Mangano noted the Opal agreement could generate around $15.00 million in revenue over three years, with long-term growth opportunities across aged care and other sectors both in Australia and overseas.
