Meta Platforms Inc (NASDAQ:META, ETR:FB2A, SWX:FB) has unveiled its Oakley Meta Vanguard smart glasses, designed for runners, cyclists and other athletes, at its Connect 2025 conference.
Priced at $499 and available from October 21, the glasses feature a wraparound design with Oakley’s PRIZM lenses, dust and water resistance, and integration with Garmin watches and Strava for live performance tracking.
They offer a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera capable of 3K video, open-ear speakers, and a five-microphone system tuned to cut wind noise.
Athletes can trigger AI prompts via a programmable button, and the device delivers up to nine hours of use plus 36 hours from its charging case.
Available in four colour combinations, the glasses will launch across North America, Europe and Australia, with further rollouts planned.
