DroneShield secures US$7.9M contracts with US Defence, passes 4,000 devices sold

DroneShield Ltd (ASX:DRO, OTC:DRSHF) has secured two new contracts with the United States Department of Defence for handheld counter-drone systems worth US$7.9 million, lifting its total global device sales past 4,000 units.

“Passing 4,000 systems in service is an important milestone for our team and our customers,” said Matt McCrann, US CEO of DroneShield. “It underlines the performance and dependability of our solutions in the field, and the trust placed in DroneShield by those who rely on them.”

The company develops technology designed to disrupt unmanned aerial vehicles by preventing communication between drones and their operators. Its systems use sensors to identify drones and employ radio frequency signals to disable flight and image transmission.

While products can be mounted on buildings and vehicles, the company’s flagship is the DroneGun, which directs disabling signals at drones. The technology is deployed across a range of sectors including defence, law enforcement, corrections, airports and sports venues.
