East Star Resources shares climb on latest drill results

East Star Resources PLC (LSE:EST) shares were on the front foot on Tuesday, after it announced the completion of a 2,302 metre drill campaign at its copper and gold exploration sites in East Kazakhstan.

All nine drilled holes have intercepted sulphide mineralisation, East Star said.

The programme targeted volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) systems at Rulikha, Talovskoye, and Verkhuba, with assays now pending.

"Drilling has been conducted safely and on budget, with mineralisation observed in all holes. We look forward to receiving the assay results and, for Verkhuba, updating the resource model in Q4 2025," chief executive Alex Walker said.

In London, East Star shares were up 4.69% changing hands at 1.83p, having also seen as high as 2.10p at one point.
