Markets in a Minute: ASX200 edges higher as energy and discretionary stocks lead gains

The ASX2OO closed up on Tuesday, nudging upwards of 0.28 per cent.

Energy and consumer discretionary topped today's gains, while consumer stapes and healthcare fell short.

In The Green

New Hope (ASX:NHC) shot up following its FY 2025 results, and lifting production by 18% to 10.7 million tonnes. The board has cut the final dividend by 32% to 15 cents, yet the full-year payout still delivers a 7% plus yield, beating expectations.

Orthocell (ASX:OCC) had a stellar day on news it's expanding the reach of its flagship nerve repair device, Remplir™ into Australia. Australian urologists are now using Remplir™ during robotic prostate cancer surgery, with nearly 40 operations already using the device.

In The Red

CSL (ASX:CSL) plunged after confirming a phased US$505 million investment, including an upfront US$117 million for an exclusive option to acquire VarmX, which will see it developing a treatment restoring blood clotting for patients on Factor Xa inhibitors.

Super Retail (ASX:SUL) was also down after the sudden departure of its CEO Anthony Heraghty. The board says new information about Heraghty’s relationship with the company’s former HR chief meant his prior disclosures were ‘not satisfactory.’
