The S&P/ASX 200 finished higher on Tuesday, advancing 24.70 points or 0.28% to close at 8,877.70. Uranium stocks led the gains, with Deep Yellow Limited climbing 9.19% and Boss Energy Ltd adding 7.05%. Over the past five sessions, the benchmark has risen 0.84% but remains 1.95% below its 52-week peak.

The S&P/ASX Small Ordinaries Index also posted a strong session, gaining 32.30 points or 0.89% to 3,677.80. The index has added 1.65% over the last five days.
